"Ölgötze" translates to "Idol of oil".
(Öl=Oil, Götze=Idol / literally "small god")

Originally the term referred to the practice of certain pagan religions to rub their idols with oil or the fat of animals as an act of devotion.

More recently "Ölgötze" is a derogative term to describe someone who ist lethargic, rigid or still.
